When an application for the registration of an association is lodged with the Commission, we must decide if the association meets the requirements to be a registered organisation.

Before we finalise our decision, you may apply to:

make changes to the name of the association
alter the association's rules.

Before you start

Have this information ready before you begin. You will need to tell us:

the name of the association
the Commission case ('matter') number
your representative's details, such as a lawyer or paid agent (if you are using one)
the details of the proposed name change or change to rule(s).

NOTE: if the proposed name change or change to rule(s) is in response to an objection, you need to provide a response to the objection.

Use Form F59 if you want to make an application to change the name of an association or alter its rules (where the association wants to become a registered organisation).
