Making submissions
Submissions to the Annual Wage Review 2020–21 are invited from interested parties including individuals, organisations and academics.
All submissions should be accompanied by the initial submission cover sheet (Word).
The closing date for lodging written submissions is 5 pm (AEDST) 26 March 2021.
Submissions may be lodged by emailing them to [email protected].
Submissions in reply & submissions relating to data published after 26 March 2021
Under the Fair Work Act 2009, the Commission must ensure that all persons and bodies have a reasonable opportunity to provide comment on submissions. Submissions in reply are invited from interested parties including individuals, organisations and academics.
The closing date for lodging written submissions in reply and any other submissions relating to data published after 26 March 2020 is 5 pm (AEST) 23 April 2021.
The closing date for lodging supplementary submissions relating to data or research published after 23 April 2021 and/or post-Budget submissions is 5 pm (AEST) 14 May 2021.
Submissions in reply and submissions related to data published after 26 March 2021 and submissions relating to date or research published afer 23 April 2021 and/or post-Budget submissions should include the reply and any other data cover sheet (Word) and may be lodged in the same way as submissions outlined above.
Publishing submissions
Under s.289 of the Fair Work Act 2009, the Fair Work Commission is required to publish all submissions made to Annual Wage Reviews.
Submissions to the Annual Wage Review 2020–21 will be published on this website when received.
However, if a submission made by a person or body includes information that is claimed to be confidential or commercially sensitive, and the Commission is satisfied that the information is confidential or commercially sensitive, the Commission:
- may decide not to publish the information, and
- may instead publish:
- a summary of the information which contains sufficient detail to allow a reasonable understanding of the substance of the information (without disclosing anything that is confidential or commercially sensitive), or
- if the Commission considers that it is not practicable to prepare a summary that would comply with subparagraph (i) – a statement that confidential or commercially sensitive information in the submission has not been published.
